*If you were to choose the 5-10 most important people in your
life right now, who would be on the list?
*Why are these people on your list?
*Why are they important to you?
*How have these people shaped or influenced your life?
*How have these people made you who are you are today?
*What role do these people play in your life?

Some major important people in my life are my mom, Mrs. Major, and John Kim, because they have all influenced me in some way to help me become the person I am now. Also, I probably wouldn't enjoy reading and writing as much.

First, my mom, because without her scolding and influence, I don't think I would be able to make it until here. She has taught me everything ranging form simple manners to extreme habits, and tried her best to do everything she can for me. She always tries to consider me before herself, like how everything she thinks is now based on my education (except when she needs to help my sister as well).

Second is Mrs. Major, my first actual English teacher at GSIS, who noticed my love of reading out of the whole class, and guided me to many different ways of reading and writing. I think that was the first time I started to appreciate reading to its fullest. Without her help, I think I might have been less of a reader or a writer than I am now. She encouraged me through many different things, and tried as best as she could to help me, which I am still very thankful for.

Next, I would choose John Kim, because he influenced my life a lot, especially in reading. I would think of him as my rival and always compare myself with him so I could improve myself. I borrowed many books from him, and looking back, I realize I have improved a lot in my reading styles. While John hasn't helped me start reading non-fiction, I think he led me through many different types of literature. He had a hand in increasing my language skills thousand-fold, including vocabulary, styles of writing, writing strategy and comprehension etc. He has changed my opinion of reading and writing, and for that I am very glad and thankful for. I think he is still influencing my life, as I am doing things that he has done before as well, like Praise Team and our Spring Play, which he both did last year and I am doing this year. I feel as if I am walking behind him like a shadow or a mirror image. Even though he is now gone, I'll never forget him.

These people, I think, have had the greatest influences in my life ever since I came to GSIS. Especially for some of my goals! They have helped me realize that my writing skills are strong, and I can use that as my advantage.
