Who was the person that you had a very clear first impression of? What was that first impression? Did your first impression end up being true or untrue (if you got to know that person better)?
When I first came to school I thought John Kim was cool and awesome and knew everything, but now I just think him as a friend who has his own hobbies and other things he knows about. I originally thought this because we were always in the same class and did many similar hobbies in our lives, like reading, gaming, and favorite subjects. It wasn't exactly true, because many people still call him a nerd and he would always know many things about everything. However, he is rather sort of bad at some things I can do easily, opposite of me, like sports and some games.

Original Poetry Summative (Volleyball Victory) Revision Post
1. Describe your piece of work. What was the assessment all about? Why did you have to write these poems? How did you decide on writing a poem about your specific topic?
Mine was about volleyball and how we played during jambories. Our poems were about making a poem to present for the class to show our imagination and creativity when making poems. I decided on volleyball because I had recently played volleyball in the jamborie and really liked it, so I wrote about a specific moment we had played during one game. We had won, so I was pretty overjoyed about the win, which was why I got the idea of writing about this story.
2. In what ways was it challenging and/or satisfying?
I don't think it was that challenging, but it was suprisingly satisfying to tell the story of how I helped our team win some matches in a poem.
3. Which IB Learner Profile(s) did you feel like you demonstrated by writing these poems? WHY?
Risk taker beacuse I never tried to make an actual poem based on something I did, just find things like rhyme and rhythm and other things. I was sort of afraid how the poem might turn out, but now I think it is great.
4. What did you gain from this learning experience? (You can discuss your content, skills, work habits, and/or personal growth.)
I learned that I can write poems better than I thought, especially rhyming poems, thanks to my range of vocaburary. However, I really need to work on finishing my work on time and during its due time. But I still enjoyed making poems like this.
Volleyball Victory
"Bam!" goes the ball as it shoots through the air,
and ruffles another person's jet-black hair.
A player, with a number 14, manages to dive and strike back,
Something many wished they could try but were too scared to act.
Another player manages to bump it high,
and someone else spikes it over, whispering 'g-bye'.
But no, no 14 again, skids on his scratched and hurt knees,
and hurls it high,
for his team to have another point seized.
"Bup!", the ball screeches as it hits the ground in a blink of an eye,
And the point goes to the no. 14's team once again.
But how long, and until when?
Soon, the opponent's best server steps up to serve,
immediately, the other team tenses up, slightly unnerved.
"BAM!" loud as a volcano, the ball hurtles like a missle through the air,
a few seconds later, cheerful hand claps echo like raindrops echoed across the gym while we grimly prepare.
And once again, the best server smashed it across,
his stance dangerous, his arm like a pro's, as if trying to show who was boss.
But this time, we were ready.
"BAM!" again, as it was hit back,
One of our teammates did a heady,
lifting the ball to another, who smashed it over with a "Whack"!
The other team tried to get it back over, but getting no success,
hitting it into the net, and the stubborn net punching it back as if it had enough stress.
At last, the game was done,
its players' sweaty and exhausted, but only one team had won.
That team was no 14's excellent team!
